The main lights depict St Egidius (St Giles) and Adam de Berford. The former is clearly identified as he is accompanied by his two distinctive emblems i.e. an arrow and a hind. The medieval Adam de Berford is wearing armour which owes more to artistic license than historical accuracy.
The upper lights depict the arms of the Layer family.
The window was designed by Walter Ernest Kemp (1873 – 1955) whose motif, a black tower on a wheat sheaf, can be seen in the border of the left hand light (bottom left)

Here we see depicted the coats of arms William de Cringleford and Katherine de la Pole, both of whom were medieval landowners in the parish.

The window dates from early 20th century and is attributed to the firm of Kempe & Tower.

This lovely window is dedicated to the memory of Kenneth Nigel Wilson Gilbert who died in 1918. It was donated by his father to “commemorate the Great War and the sacrifice of his son”.

The window designed by the firm of Kempe & Tower (c 1918), depicts St George with his emblematic shield standing astride a green dragon. To the left of the inscription we see the Gilbert family coat of arms.

The east window is dedicated to the memory of Henry Staniforth Patteson.

Designed by the firm of Lavers & Westlake c1898, it depicts Mary Magdalene, Salome and Mary, the Mother of James being told by the Angel outside Jesus’ tomb: “He is not here but is risen”(St Mark’s gospel chapter 16, 1 – 7).

This window, along with the two Chancel windows, was a gift of the Patteson family and is believed to have been inserted in 1905 when there was a major restoration of the Chancel.

This Lavers & Westlake window, designed c1900, depicts St Albert, sometimes known as Ethelbert.

The window was a gift of the Patteson family and is believed to have been inserted in 1905 when there was a major restoration of the Chancel.

Designed by Kempe & Tower c 1906 the window is dedicated to the memory of Edward Kerrison Harvey by his wife.

The main lights depict a crucifixion scene. The Blessed Virgin Mary, St Mary Magdalene and St John stand at the foot of the cross whilst the City of Jerusalem provides the backdrop.

In the tracery lights we see St John the Baptist accompanied by the Agnus Dei, the Blessed Virgin Mary with the Baby Jesus, St Catherine with her emblem of the wheel and St Margaret of Antioch with her symbolic cross and dragon.

Designed by Kempe & Tower c1915 the window is dedicated to the memory of Hannah Elizabeth Burton.

TIt depicts two kneeling figures, namely, a priest in his vestments (Aluredus Pr Cringleford) and Edward the Confessor.

Above the figures are two shields with scrolls bearing the names “Vaux – Miles” and “Bigot - Comes”, representing 11th century feudal lords of the parish. Bigot and Vaux were with the Conqueror at Dives in Normandy in 1066.

Designed by Kemp & Tower c 1926 the window is dedicated to the memory of Edward and Mary Knight.

The main light depicts Jesus by Lake Galilee telling his disciples to “Feed my Sheep”.

In the tracery lights we see the four evangelists easily recognisable by their accompanying symbols: Matthew with the "Divine Man", Mark with a winged lion, Luke with a winged ox and John with an eagle.

The tracery lights contain all that remains of the church’s medieval stained glass. Dating from the 15th century the first three lights contain figures which are almost complete although they are in a poor state. They appear to be a monk, an acolyte and an ecclesiastic. The fourth light is made up of fragments.
